Congrats! You’ve registered and are ready to talkshoplive! This is your chance to have your own show, your own store, and ultimately your own business in a fun, growing community where Shoppers and Sellers come together. It’s like a TV shopping network, but everyone gets their own show!
Creating your Channel
Ready to Sell? Let’s work on setting up your Sell Live Account by clicking on “Enable Sell Live Account” from the Account Settings menu.
First, create a Channel Name – this name will appear on all your shows, and should be unique to you. If you have a brand, your Channel Name should be your Brand Name.
Next, upload your unique Channel Profile picture and Cover photo, and give your channel a description – Remember, you are your best asset when trying to sell your product!
Here’s something for you Shopify users - if you have a Shopify storefront, you can click here to import your products into your Sell Live account.
Next, you’ll need to provide us with how you’d like to get paid for your sales. To get paid on our platform you will need a valid US debit card or US bank account. We make payouts simple and automatic, but if you have any questions, visit our Help Center to find out more.
Once your payout method has been added and saved, you’re Channel is ready to sell! It’s time to add and enable your products to be sold live.
Creating a Product
There are several ways you can create a new product, but the easiest is by clicking on the SELL LIVE button in the top menu bar. When the Sell Live wizard opens, click the dropdown and choose “Create New Product”.
Carefully follow the steps to create a new product. This includes entering in your product’s weight and dimensions, which are used to estimate shipping costs…so be sure you have that information handy. This is also where you will set your Product’s price, category, shipping options, and product details.
Your buyers love details, so please provide a detailed description of your product and include useful, well-photographed images that will get buyers excited about your product and often helps seal the sale!
Pro-tip: Including a Size Chart in your Images for clothing products is highly recommended.
Pro-tip: The image you choose as your main product image will be what platform visitors and potential buyers see first, so be sure your main product image is representative of your product, your brand, and your show.
Once you’ve supplied all the necessary product details, your product’s sell live tab will have a green check mark, which means it’s ready for selling live.
Click the Sell Live button on the top menu and choose your new product from the dropdown in the wizard.
Now that you’ve selected a product to Sell Live, follow the steps in the wizard to create your Show.
You’ll be asked to create a unique Show Name, add tags, and share your show on Facebook and Twitter when you go live. We highly recommend sharing your shows with friends and followers on social media to lead to more sales.
You also will see the option to add scrolling text we call “tickers” to your show! You can get creative and add things like: "Free shipping today!," or "Only 5 available - get them now!"
Now choose Sell Live Now in the wizard to get your live show started. This will direct you to your Host Page.
The Host Page allows you to view your Live stream, interact with buyers in a live chat and Q&A, and view your sales data in real-time.
Once on the host page, select your preferred camera and audio sources and for those savvy sellers, there’s even an option to use your own broadcast software for enhanced production quality.
Now, lights, camera, action! When you’re ready, click on “Start Show” from the player to begin your live product demonstration.
